"European colonialism, followed by totalitarian regimes in West Africa, tried to suppress Voodoo as well as other forms of the religion. However, because the Voodoo deities are born to each African clan-group, and its clery is central to maintaining the moral, social and political order and ancestral foundation of its villagers, it was near to impossible to eradicate the tradition. Today in West Africa, the Vodou religion is estimated to be practiced by over 30 million people"
Done for depthCORE's temple package.
It totally rocks so check it out!
But whats with the voodoo and west africa information in the comments section? You have used Lord Shankar- a popular god in the Hindu mythology. He is worshipped in most of north India as his abode is believed to be the Great Himalyas. I can say so as I am an Indian too

I love all the detail in this and the meaning behind it.
I think its pretty cool how although it lacks in colour it has so many tones and different textures and clean lines to make it really interesting.
I love the text thats cut off with the lines. And although i'm still trying to understand the meaning ect. Its so interesting this piece!
